I used to get a bit scared of thunder when I was a child. To be fair, I wouldn’t say I’m too keen on it now but if it came accompanied by some cash now that would be a different story. It’s not just thunder you have to consider here because there are frozen wilds too and they can certainly help boost that account balance of yours.
This Ainsworth Gaming slot game has a total of five reels and the three rows of colourful symbols include 20 pay-lines. We seem to be in a casino as the background shows a copy of tables, one where the cards may or may not be on your side and another with a roulette wheel on it. Right at the back there are a line of slot machines. Considering the title of the game I thought the background might have a stormy weather scene so not quite sure why we’re in a casino.
Those 20 pay-lines aren’t a fixed amount so you need to work out how many to activate on each spin of the reels. That’s no problem to do at all, simply click on the control button underneath the reels (it’s to the right of the Thunder Cash logo) to bring up the required box. That allows you not just to set how many pay-lines you wish to activate but the stake you wish to make. The minimum cost of playing this game is just 0.20 and the most that can be wagered on one spin is 2000. A wide range for sure so players should find no problem at all making wagers that they feel entirely comfortable with. As long as it is cash that you won’t mind losing, then just carry on and enjoy this Ainsworth Gaming slot.
The symbols in the game again go down the casino route. There’s some dice, a stack of chips, a diamond and a lucky red 7. Lots of cash related symbols but where’s the thunder? If you can get five of the red 7 symbols that pays you 25x your total bet and It’s 20x for five diamonds.
Finally, there’s a weather-related symbol as the lightning bolt casino chip makes an appearance. You will be wanting to see plenty of this because it’s the wild symbol in ‘Thunder Cash.’ It can substitute for other symbols to hopefully bring you several winning combinations. It only appears on the second, third and fourth reels though. Unlike in a lot of other games, there are no wins available for multiple wild symbols. It also can’t substitute for the scatter symbol which is the Thunder Cash logo. That symbol is lucrative because five of them anywhere on the reels will win you 100 times your total bet. It also helps activate the free spins round so it’s no wonder the wild can’t substitute for it.
You need a total of at least three scatter symbols anywhere on the reels to gain entry to the free spins round. Once that happens you receive eight free spins and a bit of help in getting winning combinations. That’s because when a wild symbols lands on the reels, it is locked there for the duration of the free spins, so hopefully they will turn up early on. It’s also possible to re-trigger the free spins if those scatters come along in triplicate again. You don’t get the whole eight again, just five more but if there are already some frozen wilds on the reels you can do plenty of damage though the pay-outs are lower in the free spins round which is a tad disappointing.
This isn’t the most complicated of games but it’s still a good idea to do some research before playing it for real. A quick look at the paytable will certainly help you in that area. It has the information you require re winning combinations and the bonus game. Also have some free games to see just how everything works once those reels start spinning.
If playing this game proves to be a great experience, why not try out some similar slot games? For example, you can try your luck on ‘Asian Attraction’ from Novomatic. That also has 20 pay-lines and a free spins round. You get slightly more free spins but no frozen wilds in that one. Also try out ‘Cazino Zeppelin’ which has been released by Yggdrasil. That does have frozen wild symbols in its free spins round and its wilds appear on all of the reels not just three as in ‘Thunder Cash.’
A rather straightforward slot from Ainsworth Gaming. It’s attractive enough to look at, though just why this game is called ‘Thunder Cash’ still isn’t quite clear. The soundtrack is rather loud but it can be muted if you so wish. Gameplay isn’t complicated so newcomers to slot games could try their luck on this as part of their education. The frozen wilds can prove profitable and even more so if you are lucky enough to win more free spins. It’s definitely worth spending some time playing this slot.
