Captain Cannon’s Circus of Cash review

Most of us have fancied running away and join the circus at some time in our life. Well you can kind of do that in Ash Gaming’s ‘Captain Cannon’s Circus of Cash.’ It proudly calls itself ‘the greatest slots game on Earth’ and while that’s a rather bold claim to make, it’s certainly an entertaining game to play. The introduction to the game is a great way to start your experience of this slot machine game. It really gets you in the mood with that traditional music that we all associate with any circus. We also get a great preview of just how the game looks and its abundance of bonus games. ‘Captain Cannon’s Circus of Cash’ is a five-reel and 25 payline game. That number of paylines is a fixed amount. The coin range varies from £0.25 to £250 a spin, that’s a good range and you should have no problem finding a level that you can comfortably play and keep enjoying the game. You can win up to 500 times your stake if landing five Captain Cannon symbols.

Symbols include a lion (the wild in this game because well, that’s what most lions are aren’t they?), a clown, the daredevil Captain Cannon, a performing seal, a lion tamer and a female ring-mistress. The rest of the symbols are the ten to Ace playing card symbols which is a bit of a shame. There’s so many characters involved in the bonus rounds, surely some could also have been used as regular symbols. It’s an easy game to play with all the main control buttons down the bottom of the screen. There’s an autoplay feature that you can set up for 99 automatic spins if you so wish or simply until a bonus round is activated and that’s nearly always less than 99 spins.

Bonus Features

There’s a fantastic nine bonus features available in this game and your target is to light up the bonus letters that are situated underneath each of the reels. The five letters spell out the word ‘bonus’ so nothing too inventive there. These lights are lit up on a random basis and can regularly take you into one of the bonus round. Once you’ve lit up the five letters the strongman hits the hammer and it’s time to see just how high you’ll get up the bonus feature ladder. The lights will flash and end up at one of the categories which are: Fire Breather, Lion Tamer, Rampaging Elephant, Shave the Bearded Lady, Strongman Contest, Knife Thrower, Clown Car Free Spins, Tightrope MotorBear and Captain Cannon’s Wild Ride. The higher you go up the ladder then the more lucrative your bonus win can be. The lowest prizes are in the Fire Breather bonus game where between one and three reels are turned completely wild. With the Lion Tamer, she cracks her whip and turns up to five of the symbols on the reels into wilds.

The more lucrative bonus rounds include the knife thrower where there’s 20 balloons and you simply choose which balloons to throw your knife at. When popped they can reveal cash prizes or award you more throws. Some of these bonus rounds are really quite fun. Not everyone loves clowns but you’re bound to become a fan of the Clown Car Free Spins round. The clown car arrives and some clowns get out, each are worth a certain number of free spins or a multiplier. I’m not sure the local councils would allow the Tightrope MotorBear but they might be in with a chance of winning ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ In this found your ask is to get the bear across the tightrope (unlike in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ a stunt bear isn’t allowed). The further the bear goes the more you’ll win. If he gets to the other side he then picks up a clown and makes his way back again. This gives you a great chance to win more money as the clown can reach up and grab more cash prizes.

This is one of my favourite slots from Ash Gaming and I’m not even a big circus fan. There’s tons of bonus opportunities and the look and sound of the game fits in well with the theme. Definitely recommended.
