We’re back in the days of King Arthur and when he went shopping all he wanted was a Round Table. This is another great slot from Ash Gaming and it gives its players a fantastic chance to win some big cash prizes.
This slot has a classy look to it and features all your favourite characters from the legend that’s been told so many times. That means Guinevere, Xcalibur and Merlin all make an appearance here.
It may not be as funny as Monty Python and the Holy Grail but with the Camelot Bonus Quest Game, you have the chance to win a massive cash prize and won’t even need Sat Nav to win it.
This slot has a very classy look to it with King Arthur standing to the left of the reels and Queen Guinevere on the right. The reels are inside a golden frame to add to the regal look. This release has five reels and on its three rows of symbols there are 20 pay-lines. That’s not a fixed amount so you need to decide just how many to activate. The minimum cost of playing all of them is €0.20 and the maximum you can spend on one spin is €200. Setting that stake is easy to do with all the relevant control buttons underneath the reels. Make sure you set a stake that is an amount you can afford to lose.
Symbols in the game include The Holy Grail (now Monty Python know where it is), the Lady I the Lake, a goblet and the ten to Ace playing card symbols. There are two wilds in this slot, King Arthur, and Merlin. Both, whether wizards or not, can substitute for other symbols and help get you some winning combinations. They can’t sub for the sword in the stone scatter symbol or the Castle of Camelot symbol which activates the rather interesting Quest game. If it’s King Arthur that gets you a winning combination that win is doubled.
There are some good wins to be had in this game with five of the King Arthur wild symbols on a pay-line paying 10000x your line bet. Just four get you a 2000x multiplier. Other notable wins include 300x for five goblets.
To get into the Camelot Bonus Quest Game you need to get at least three of the Camelot bonus symbols on an active pay-line. You then find yourself transferred to a second screen where there’s a map with a series of paths leading to Camelot. Your task is to guide King Arthur to Camelot, I’d have thought he knew the way to be honest.
Basically, this is similar to a gamble feature with a trail rather than playing cards. You can gamble all your win or half of it. You decide whether to go left or right, in the end you get to Camelot and where you arrive determines the multiplier you get. It can be up to 4x but if you land on 0x then that’s the end of the game and you lose your cash, so be careful with this.
If you can get at least three of the scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, this triggers the Sword in the Stone Bonus feature. There’s another job for Arthur as he has to try to get the sword free from the stone. If he can do that, then you win an additional multiplier and that can get as high as 32x if you can get that sword out of the stone five times.
There’s a decent bit going on in this game so make sure you access the paytable. That gives you full details of how to play the game. Also, have some free games, they will be helpful as it’ll show you just how the bonus features, which are a little bit different here, play out.
If the mere mention of the Holy Grail gets you thinking of Monty Python, why not try Ash Gaming’s ‘Life of Brian’ slot which also has a few rather unorthodox bonus games. Microgaming also have a King Arthur slot if you want more Arthurian slot play.
An interesting game for sure. It has a great look to it and the bonus games aren’t what you’d normally expect to be playing. Definitely worth a go but be careful with that Camelot Bonus Quest.
