Space Trail Bonus
This is a progression trail bonus similar that what you see on Rainbow Riches, this time however a little Worm is in space, with the big win on an asteroid at the end of the trail. Along the right hand side of the bonus game are a series of crates, with each crate containing a forward amount, teleport, or something that is capable of ending the feature, such as a landmine or dynamite. The online casino version of the Worms slot uses multipliers, with the credit amount multiplied by the finishing value. The bookies and arcade versions of Worms uses straight forward cash values, with £500 been the end value, and 1000x credits the ending value on the online casino game.
The Crate Escape
A little Scottish Worm stands against attack, surrounded by 10 crates. He starts with a health level, and each crate either has a cash amount or an attack, or an increase health. The cash amounts accumulate until the Worms health reaches zero. You will usually survive the first attack, then get finished off on the second, with the accumulated cash then paid to your bank. You will likely be looking at a big win if you manage to increase your health during the feature.
Free Spins Battle Bonus
This bonus is actually fairly rare, and once active offers a series of free spins. Unlike many other slot machines, this bonus does not offer the chance to re-trigger the bonus, and as such tends to offer high valued wins during the game. The games feature is potentially unlimited, and ends only when the Worms health is depleted by the various attacks that come during the bonus.
The Worms slot machine plays with 50 pay lines online and 20 pay lines in arcades and bookies. Additionally the land based version of Worms (bookies and arcades) offers the option to gamble each win.
I’m a fan of these gambles, and similar ones can be found on other machines such as Viz. The gamble is totally random and offers true odds of either double, times four, times five, or ten times your win up to a maximum of £500. The wins can also be banked or part-banked at any time, and wins such as £17 can be gambled with a ten times win awarding a very nice £170 as an example. The online version offers a lot of wild wins, and spread over 50 pay lines, these can add up to very big wins at times. The land based version isn’t as generous with the wild wins, but does have additional features which are triggered at random during regular game play. These random wins can award amongst other things; a Golden Donkey which is a cash amount of usually no less than £25, or a Holy Hand Grenade which turns a section of the reels wild, to make various winning lines. There are also several others, all of which can appear at random at any time.
