After the huge success of ‘Da Vinci’s Diamonds’ that IGT would bring out another Da Vinci themed slot. This is a bit different though with Dual Play and Tumble Thru being the big feature.
Rather than playing one set of five reels you actually play two in this. It’s a bit like ‘University Channel’ because the two sets are on top of each other. This means that in total there are 40 paylines in this game. The minimum cost of playing the game is £0.40 and the maximum £200 Just choose a level you are comfortable with and can afford to lose.
Anyone who’s played the first game might be a bit surprised to see that the symbols used here are the same as for that one. That means Da Vinci portraits, including of course the Mona Lisa as well as emeralds, rubies and diamonds.
The wild symbol in this game is the pink gem and can substitute for other symbols in the game with the exception of the Extra Payline Bonus symbol.
The Tumbling Reels are back again in this game. When you get a winning combination this is triggered and the symbols that have just got you a win suddenly do a disappearing act. This of course leaves some vacant spots and the symbols above them tumble down and take their places. It’s then time to take another look at the reels and see if any winning combinations have been created by all this tumbling. This feature carries on until it doesn’t get you any wins.
A sequel needs something a little bit different or just taking the original idea one step further. The Tumble Thru feature sees symbols from the top game tumble down into vacant spaces in the bottom game. This of course can totally change things and lead to more winning combinations when the reels are reassessed.
If you can get five of the Da Vinci Diamonds logos on a payline then this gets you 5000x your line bet so that can really have you smiling.
There’s a fair amount going on in this game what with the Tumbling Reels and Tumble Thru Feature. It’s best therefore that you take a good look through the paytable and the game rules just to make sure you know exactly what’s going on. You can also set an autospin of between ten and 50 automated free spins if you’ve got a lot on and need some time away from the reels.
If you can get three of the Extra Payline Bonus symbols on the first three reels then, just like in the original game, you’re awarded six free spins. But there’s a lot more happening here than in the first Da Vinci game.
During the free spins, there’s an additional 20 paylines in play giving a total of 60 for you to try and win on. Even better news is the fact that you can retrigger six or more spins each time three of the Extra Payline Bonus symbols turn up on those first three reels. In all if your luck is really in you could end up with 300 free spins. That’s probably a bit fantasy island but you can certainly get a fair few and get some big wins.
Sequels are never easy and can sometimes be a big disappointment. That’s not the case here as IGT have taken a great idea and taken it to another level. The new features and the bonus game really can get you some good wins, so this is definitely recommended.
