Kitty Glitter review

Animals are often the theme for slot games and it’s the turn of cats in IGT’s ‘Kitty Glitter.’ It’s a fairly basic game but one that is really enjoyable. Even if you can’t stand cats, you might grow to love them after getting some good wins. But bare in mind, it’s only the kitty cats and not the panther kind!

‘Kitty Glitter’ has five reels and three rows of symbols. In terms of paylines there are 30 here and that’s not a fixed amount. It’s up to you therefore to decide just how many to activate in your quest to win some great prizes. You can choose to activate either one, five, nine, 15 or all 30 paylines. Playing the game will cost you between £0.01 and £300, ideal for those just wanting some fun and others looking for big wins.

The symbols aren’t the greatest of designs you’ll see all year. Cats of course are in the ascendancy with a tabby, Persian, Siamese and Calico cats. The glitter in the game comes from the diamonds an it’s the bowl of diamonds that the all-important scatter symbol in ‘Kitty Glitter.’

The wild is the Kitty Glitter symbol and this is really useful. Just watch your account balance grow as it gets you wins by substituting for other symbols. It’s not able to substitute for the scatter symbol though due to its importance in getting you into the bonus game. Note though that the wild only appears on the second, third, fourth and fifth reels.

Other symbols in the game are the ten to Ace playing card symbols, which at least have a bit of glitter added to them.

This isn’t the most complicated of games from IGT but it’s important to learn as much as you can before playing the slot. Take a look at the Paytable and that’ll do the job. Also have some free games and really get used to how the game runs, especially the bonus games. Don’t spend too long in front of the screen though, take advantage of the autospin feature. You can set between 10 and 50 automated spins.

Bonus Game

To get some free spins you need to get three of the diamond scatter symbols. These don’t have to be on an active payline just anywhere on the reels. That’s good news because it means you don’t have to be activating all the paylines all the time to be in with a chance of landing the bonus. Just one line activated means you’re in with a chance.

Three of those scatter symbols get you 15 free spins. During these there is an extra single diamond symbol on the fifth reel. Underneath the reels there are some cats that have three empty diamond places next to them. Each time a diamond appear this fills up one of those places, when all three slots for a cat are full, that symbol becomes wild. That helps you get winning combinations so if you’re lucky enough to turn three wild the wins can really flow in. There’s also the chance to get more free spins up to a total of 225 if a trio of scatters appear again.

Cat lovers will adore this game, those who aren’t still have plenty of reasons to play it though. The bonus game can certainly get you some good wins, especially if the scatter symbols and diamond symbol come along and provide winning opportunities. The design is rather basic, the soundtrack bearable but this is definitely a game you can enjoy playing for a while.
