Flowers are often the theme for slot games and that’s the case again with IGT’s ‘White Orchid.’ It’s a strange theme though because aside from the backdrop to the reels showing plenty of delightful looking white orchids, the actual symbols don’t really go down that route.
‘White Orchid’ is a five-reel game that has a total of four rows of rather basic looking symbols. Playing the game can cost as much as £80 but if you do opt for the maximum bet there’s a bit of an incentive. At stakes less than the maximum there are up to 40 paylines that can be activated. However, at the maximum bet the Multiplay Xtra comes into play giving you an impressive 1024 different ways to win.
How does it get that high? Well, wins are paid in both directions and on adjacent symbols. There’s a slight problem though here because wins achieved when the Multiplay Xtra format is being used are less than normal. For example, five of the leopards pay 250x your line bet when there are 1024 different ways to win but pay 1000x when it’s not activated. You’ll be getting more wins under the Multiplay Xtra but they won’t pay so much. Simply work out your financial budget and stake what you can afford to lose.
The symbols in the game include a leopard, the White Orchid logo, a frog, a butterfly, a cheetah plus male and female inhabitant of wherever this game is set, it’s supposed to be utopia I think. There’s also the Jack to Ace symbols.
There are two bonus symbols in the game. The wild is the White Orchid logo and only appears on the second, third, fourth and fifth reels. It can substitute for other symbols in the game to get you winning combinations. Not the orchid though which can get you into the bonus game and only appears on the third reel.
