You’d have to be barking mad not to like this slot game from IGT. With its entertaining theme and progressive jackpot to win, there are plenty of reasons to enjoy playing this game. If you have played the original Wolf Run slot, then you will notice just how better a game this is than the original and a few twists along the way too.
When you produce a sequel to a game it’s a difficult task. It must keep the character of the first game, while not being a total repeat of it. With this game, IGT have managed to do that by producing a slot that keeps the theme of ‘Wolf Run’ but sees its players chasing a progressive jackpot and that’s always entertaining.
This is a five-reel game that on its four rows of symbols has a total of 40 pay-lines. With a bit of luck, they will supply you with a fair number of wins. You have no choice but to play each spin of the reels with all 40 pay-lines activated. What you do need to decide is how much you will stake on each spin. The minimum cost of a game is 0.40 and the maximum 100. Don’t gamble anything you can’t afford to lose is the best advice we can give you.
The symbols here are definitely attractive to look at. They are a bit on the large size so not too much of a backdrop to gaze at. It looks like the wilderness where the wolf lives. Symbols show a variety of wolves with a white wolf, a dark grey one and a lone wolf howling in front of a full moon. We also get to figurines of a man and a bird plus the nine to Ace playing cards, far too many of those.
There are two wild symbols in this game. Firstly, there’s the MegaJackpots logo and this can replace all the other symbols in the game with the exception of the bonus symbol. That act will certainly help you get some more winning combinations and boost that account balance of yours. This is stacked so the chances of wins coming along are increased even further. As you’ll read in a short while, this can also help you win the progressive jackpot.
Then there’s that wolf howling in front of the moon, he can substitute for all other symbols with the exception of the other wild symbol and the bonus icon. There’s no subbing for that bonus symbol as it would make it so much easier to get into the bonus round.
If you can get three of them on the centre reels, that gives you a 2x win but more importantly gets you five free spins. You might be thinking that’s not many but there are more stacked wilds during those free spins and three Bonus scatter symbols anywhere on those centre three reels can again re-trigger the free spins. You are allowed to do this an amazing 50 times so you could end up with 255 free spins. Manage that and I’d go out and buy a lottery ticket because you’d be having a fantastic winning streak.
There are two ways of winning the progressive jackpot. The first is to get all 20 of the reels covered with the MegaJackpots symbol. This can happen both during the base game and the free spins round. If you can’t manage that then there’s a behind the scenes Second Chance MegaJackpots draw after each spin. The more you gamble, the higher the chance you have of winning but keep an eye on that budget of yours. Just how high the progressive jackpot is can be seen at the top right of the screen above the reels. That’ll certainly make your mouth water.
If you enjoy playing this slot, why not try out ‘Lil Lady’ also from IGT. This is an exact match in terms of gameplay with the free spins, 40 pay-lines and stacked wild symbol. The same can be said for ‘Coyote Moon’, another IGT release and with some howling creatures too if that’s what you like.
There’s a lot to like about this IGT slot. The theme is a good one, though I’d have preferred to see some more wolves rather than playing card symbols. Two wild symbols is always a bonus and the free spins round is profitable if you can keep re-triggering it. The progressive jackpot isn’t too easy to win of course but you’ll be celebrating if it does come along, be careful with your budget though.
