Hot Number Roulette review

Hot Number Roulette is a gambling themed roulette game currently found in William Hill betting shops.

Hot Number Roulette features a betting wheel and playing style similar to Inspired’s earlier release; 20p Roulette. As such, it is possible to predict the balls landing position from where it starts as the ball stops directly opposite. This of course has no advantage, but some people like to know, and it has become a bit of a trade mark on some of the roulette games in William Hill and Betfred.

Playing wise, Hot Number Roulette is a little limited compared to other roulette games such as Super Gambler Roulette, as there are no outside betting options. This seems a little strange at first, but it stands to reason that the only reason people will play Hot Number Roulette is for the gamble option at the end of each win.

How to Play Hot Number Roulette

The odds on Hot Number Roulette are the standard, with a straight up paying 36/1, and splits and streets etc. all available at the standard odds.

Once a win of £1 or more has been achieved, you are directed over to the Hot Number game. This game features a true odds gamble, converting each potential winning number to the number your won the bet with. This makes the bonus roulette wheel not only look great, but it also gives the illusion that it is difficult to lose. Indeed it is, as you can change the odds so that there are only two losing positions out of 37. This of course will change the odds accordingly, so the potential winnings will not go up too much with these type of odds, but you can change the odds to anything you want, up to a maximum of one winning position or a potential return of £500.

This is an interesting and fun variation of the roulette game, with a fair gamble and adjustable odds. It will likely take a while to settle in as players will be confused by the bonus roulette wheel layout, but over time, I think this has the potential to be one of the more popular roulette games on the betting terminals.

Hot Number Roulette Tips

The gamble is where it’s at with this roulette game, and as such you may want to bet a minimal amount on the main roulette game to be carried across to the more fun Hot Number Roulette bonus round.

The odds on the bonus gamble are the same as standard roulette, minus a small amount as the game rounds down the odd pennies.
The odds may always look in your favour, but this is still a random game, and the ball has as much chance as landing on any position, whether it is good or bad for you.

The zero will always be the machine advantage number, and will never be a winning position unless you enter the game on the zero. This makes the odds the same as standard roulette.

You can bet more than £100 per spin on the gamble as it is taking the win from the roulette game, but the prize is capped at £500.
