Kingdom of Legend review

Being a slot player is a lot easier than being employed as a warrior. The characters in this action-packed slot from Novomatic, have to put their lives on the line against hordes of Orcs to win treasure that has been locked away for years. For us, it’s just a case of deciding our stake, spinning the reels and hoping the excellent features in ‘Kingdom of Legend’ can bring you some big cash wins.

Warring Warriors

This is a five-reel game that rather than the usual three rows of symbols, has a total of four. There are 40 pay-lines contained on those four rows and they are a fixed number. You do need to be sorting out how much to stake on each spin of the reels. The minimum cost of a spin in this game is 0.40 and the maximum 100.  Ensure you gamble an amount you can afford to lose.

Before you start playing the game there’s the Reality Check Interval to complete. This is part of ensuring responsible gambling by allowing you to set a time for how long to play the game before a check is made, say 10 minutes. When that period of time elapses, the game is suspended and you are show just how much you have staked and won plus the chance to see your account history. You are asked whether you want to continue playing or call it a day.

The look of the game is outstanding and the soundtrack dramatic. Every now and then some black crows come flying across the reels which helps to set the mood. There are statues to the left and right of the reels, though the control button on the right gets a bit in the way.

The Man in the Hood

In the background, we get to see two pillars and a Grecian statue. The symbols in this game will suit anyone who likes series such as ‘Lord of the Rings’ There are elf maidens (great if you like women with big ears), warriors, dwarves, orcs and also the ten to Ace playing card symbols. All the characters seem to be getting ready for war and don’t look that pleasant to be honest. Best not upset them in any way or it might be the last thing you ever do

The wild symbol in this game is the wizard who is wearing a hood but still of course has white hair and a beard. He’s in a magical mood when substituting for other symbols to help get you winning combinations.  It can’t sub for the Bonus Wheel scatter.

Spin that Wheel

The Orc Bonus feature is triggered randomly if a spin of the reels doesn’t produce a win during the base game. An Orc can appear and give you a cash prize that can be as high as 500x your stake. Alternatively, it can also give you access to the Bonus Wheel feature.

The Bonus Wheel feature is triggered if you get two matching halves of a bonus wheel symbol. That symbol covers two spots and appears on each reel apart from the third. You then spin the Bonus Wheel to decide how many free spins you receive or how much cash you win. The most free spins you can win is ten and the top cash prize is 30x your stake. If you are lucky you could end up spinning the Super Wheel where the top prize is 1000x your stake.

There is also a free games feature that can be accessed from the Super Wheel with up to ten free spins available. Your chance of getting wins during those free spins are improved due to the Lightning Wilds that can turn adjacent symbols into wilds.

Take the Gamble?

Kingdom of Legend also has a gamble feature. It pops up after you get a win in the base game. If you take up the gamble then your task is to correctly guess the colour of the next card. Get it right and you double your win, get it wrong and that win disappears so be careful with this. Feature.

This game has a lot going on so it’s even more important to be checking out the paytable. That’s packed with information about winning combinations and the bonus features. It’s also important to have some free games to see how everything including the Bonus Wheels works.

Similar Slot Games

If you enjoy playing this action-packed slot game, try your hand at these similar slots. There’s the Novomatic game ‘Spring Queen’ which also has 40 pay-lines, a free spins round but the wild symbol only appears on three of the reels. Also give a go to the Cavetano game ‘Red Emperor’ that has a wild on all the reels and can offer players up to 100 pay-lines during gameplay.

Final Battle

A slot from Novomatic which has plenty going on. There are plenty of chances to get wins and the bonus wheels can certainly provide you with some big wins if your luck is in. It has a great look to it and the theme is well adhered to. As ever, be careful with the bonus feature.
