FOBT Roulette Cheats

roul 1Fixed Odds Betting Terminals have been in British bookies for a little over ten years, in that time they have spread to thousands of High Streets, each with up to four roulette machines per betting shop.

William Hill roulette machines and Bet Fred roulette machines use the same software, with some land bookies using a separate supplier for their roulette machines. This gives two distinct versions of FOBT (Fixed Odds Betting Terminal) software. As such, roulette machine cheats may work on some betting terminals but not others.

Roulette machine cheats and tips do exist, it isn’t all down to just luck. How to win on the roulette betting terminals can be different depending on the location and the betting terminals software. I’ve listed the best, real Fixed Odds Betting Terminal tips and cheats to help you understand the bookies machines better and to make your money last longer.

Roulette Machine Cheats

There are a lot of myths surrounding these machines, and many people make assumptions about the betting terminals. It is a well known fact that these roulette machines make the bookies a lot of money, far more than racing and sports betting combined. But that doesn’t mean that FOBT cheats do not exist, but when they do it is often for very short periods of time before software is corrected. They are after all just computer programs, and exploits exist for computer software all the time.

Here we list some roulette machine cheats that existed at some point in time.

There have been several cheats for the Ladbrokes betting terminals over the years, one of the best involved the demo play card. This card allowed the player to play the FOBT machines with £100 in credits to try out the games. All was fine in theory, but Ladbrokes made one major oversight, and that was that not all of the FOBT games were random.

The cheat was simple; get yourself one of the demo play cards, load up the £100 in demo play and play it all off in one of the non-random games, in this case a £250 jackpot fruit machine, and don’t collect anything. Do this for around £1000 worth of credits, exist the demo mode then play (or get a colleague to play) the £250 jackpot fruit machine. What you have is one gaming machine very desperate to pay out, as it assumes it has had £1000 worth of play without paying anything. At this point it was very easy to win £500 – £700 without trying very hard, then simply repeat the process in another shop to avoid suspicion.

Several people made many tens of thousands from this roulette machine cheat, and as a result the demo play has been reduced to £20, can only be loaded by a member of staff with a key, and only works on the random games.

This William Hill betting terminal cheat involved the bonus roulette game Lucky 8. The bonus pot on these builds up over time, and as a result they get to a certain point where the odds are in the players favour. Because of this, the bonus pots are often very low, and increase at a minimal rate. The roulette machine cheat involved loading £100 worth of credit into the FOBT, loading up the Lucky 8 game, then unplugging the cable that connects the machine to the Internet.

What happens is you have a fully functioning game that has lost its connection, so does not except any real bets. The £100 could then be placed anywhere (red or black for example), then bet. The bet wouldn’t count so would get refunded, but the cash pot would build up fairly significantly due to the £100 bet per spin. This was done until the cash pot reached its maximum of £350, and the reserve also reached a very high amount.

The cable could then be plugged back in, and the game played as standard, now with the odds massively in the players favour for winning the cash pot. This was probably not legal, difficult to get away with in some betting shops, and very time consuming, however the end result was £700 a day or more in profit!

Joker Poker by Project Coin was in Bet Fred bookies on their Fixed Odds Betting Terminals. This high risk cheat involved forcing the gamble to go past the £500 jackpot. As the machine was on a fixed percentage i.e. not random, it had a target percentage to reach. A fault in the software allowed the gamble to offer double or nothing beyond the jackpot, once a win above £500 had been collected, this was then ‘free’ which basically means the machine didn’t recognise that it had paid out the win, and so wanted to payout again.

Free wins are an old concept and were around a lot more on smaller jackpot machines. The problem with high jackpot free wins is it can take a lot of money for the machine to get into a super happy payout mode (£4000 or so), which made this cheat very high risk.
The error was fixed, and the exploit so rarely used.

Before the betting terminals were upgraded, it was possible to force a reset by pulling on the plastic casing. It was (and still is) also possible to recognise which number will come up on the roulette game once you have pressed ‘bet’.

With these two concepts in mind, all the player had to do was bet anywhere he wanted, and if it was going to be a losing spin, force a reset before the bet was complete. The fixed odds betting terminal would then print out your receipt prior to the losing spin, resulting in a free bet. Therefore each winning bet resulted in a profit (£100 usually), and each losing spin resulted in your money back.

Roulette Machines: How To Win

It is possible to win on Ladbrokes, William Hill, Coral and Bet Fred roulette betting terminals over time by playing the progressive bonus roulette games. Games such as Key Bet Roulette, Extra Bet Roulette and Lucky 8 Roulette all have a progressive pot that will eventually push the chance of winning into the players favour.

As these games are random and require a minimum bet per spin, short term your losses may be great then your winnings. A continued disciplined approach to these roulette games will result in long term profit. This would mean, playing only for the cash pot, not playing other roulette games, and walking out of the betting shop if the pots are to low.

There are several guides on this site for all of the mentioned machines, so use the menus above to learn the betting odds for each roulette game
