Let’s go back to the days of the Knights of the Round Table. Thankfully there’s no sign of any singing as in that ‘Camelot’ musical that seemed to go on forever and ever. Instead we have an entertaining slot machine from WMS Gaming as the classic tales carry on into the 21st century.
This is a five-reel game that has four rows of symbols. There’s a total of 40 paylines in this game so plenty of chances to get some wins. It’s entirely up to you just how many of those paylines you decide to activate. The coin range goes from £0.01 to £5 so a minimum bet on just one payline is £0.01 and a maximum bet with all paylines activated is £200. That’s a wide enough range for you to find one that fits in perfectly with your all-important financial budget.
The game has a good look, though it’d perhaps have been better to see a bit more of the background. We just get the hint of a blue sky and forest. The symbols in the game are well produced and are all theme related with a few dashes of animation thrown in for good measure. We get Lancelot, Guinevere, Merlin, a Crown, helmet, shields, flowers, chestnuts and Excalibur the Sword. Rather conspicuous by his absence is King Arthur, probably he was off on some state visit.
There are two wild symbols in this game, namely Lancelot and Guinevere. These don’t just substitute for other symbols but they are stacked on the reels. This will give you plenty of opportunities to get some winning combinations that you wouldn’t normally have got. For a change there’s no scatter symbol in this game and as you’ll read it’s the wilds that play a part in triggering the free spins bonus round.
The wilds in this game certainly have a lot to do. If you can get five of either the Lancelot or Guinevere symbols on a payline this pays 350 times your line bet. However, get a mixture of the two wild symbols and you’ll still get a win that is 175 times your line bet.
The soundtrack isn’t that fantastic and just like you’d be glad if Lancelot was around when a dragon appeared, you’ll be delighted there’s a mute button to be used.
Playing the game won’t present you with any problems. Your stake can be set in two different ways. There’s the classic panel and also the quickbet panel where you can use the slide to choose the stake you desire. There’s an autoplay button at the bottom of the screen that can be stopped at any time you want. For a more complicated autoplay go to the top right hand corner and press the options button. There you can set a precise number and impose certain conditions when you want the automated spins to stop, for example after a big win you want to protect.
