Super Jackpot Block Party review

We all love a party and do I need to ask you if you fancy the odd jackpot every now and then? Well you’ll love the WMS Gaming slot machine ‘Super Jackpot Block Party’ which is a sequel to the successful game ‘Super Jackpot Party.’

It’s a five-reel game that has 30 paylines for you to hopefully get some good wins on. That’s 50 percent more than the ‘Super Jackpot Party’ game that only had 20. The lines aren’t fixed so you have two decisions to make before spinning those reels. How many paylines do you activate and what stake will you have on each of them. The coin range goes from £0.01 to £2 so that means you can stake anything from £0.01 to £60. Not too bad a range so just stick to your financial budget and hopefully win some cash.

This is one of those games that you might need to put some sunglasses on while playing. It’s bright and cheerful and that’s the best way to describe the soundtrack too. As you can guess from the title of the game, the symbols all relate to a party. There’s a party zone warning sign (probably best put on the door of your next door neighbour), a lava lamp, glitter ball, record deck, some cake, chips with a dip and a ‘7’ party logo.

Who needs one scatter symbol when you can have three? ‘Super Jackpot Block Party’ has a party popper, trumpet and one of those things you blow in someone’s face and it makes a noise that is really irritating. There’s also a gift symbol that can activate another one of the bonus games and the game’s logo is the wild here. This can get you some good winning combinations by substituting for other symbols apart from the scatter and bonus symbols.

Playing the game doesn’t present the player with any problems. Down the bottom of the screen are the control buttons that allow you to set your coin level and the number of paylines you activate. There’s no bet max button though which is a bit frustrating.

There’s also the paytable which is always worth a good look through to get an idea how much each symbol pays. For example, if you can get five of the wild symbols on an active payline then that’s going to pay a sensational 20,000x your line stake.

All the rules of the game can be read by pressing the question mark button that’s in the top right hand corner of the screen. Once you’ve learnt those take advantage of some free games to get really used to the game.

Next to the rules button is the options button where you can set a specific autoplay. This can be set for the number of spins and also stopping when your balance reaches a certain figure or a big win comes along. There’s a simplified autoplay button on the bottom row and that can be stopped at any time.

Bonus Features

If you can get three or more of the wrapped gift scatter symbols anywhere on the reels then this gets you into the bonus round. Simply pick one of the presents and a cash prize will be revealed. The more scatters that trigger this, the more presents you can pick. That gives you a better chance of finding the Block Party gift.

Again keep an eye out on the reels for the party accessory scatter symbol as three of those is your way into the Block Party Feature. Here there are four party zones, namely Players, Office, Costume and VIP. Initially it’s the Players Party zone that opens up and again this is pick ‘em time as you choose gifts to reveal prizes. Finding a plunger opens another room and each gift clicked there opens the corresponding one in any other open rooms. Avoid the Pooper or Buzzkill sign though as that puts an end to all your fun.

Conclusion

An interesting game with a rather simple theme but one that is adhered too pretty well. The bonus rounds are full of good wins so getting into those will really put you in the party mood.
