When a game proves popular a sequel or two is often a good idea. That’s what has happened with ‘Zeus’ from WMS Gaming. Two games proved very popular so that led to a third one. It was important that the games evolved and didn’t all look the same and that definitely can’t be said of Zeus III.
This game looks totally different from Zeus and Zeus 2 slot games. That’s entirely down to the structure of the reels. Rather than the usual set of five reels and a number of paylines, here we have six reels and 192 fixed paylines.
The first reel has just two rows of symbols, then as you go along the reels they each get an extra row of symbols. That means we end up with seven rows on the sixth reel. As you’ll discover though this isn’t always the case.
With so many paylines you might be thinking that this is going to be an expensive game to play. Well the cost of playing this goes from £0.40 to £80 so that’s not too bad at all. It’s just a question of working out a financial budget, sticking to it and enjoying the game.
Symbols in the game include a vase, a ship, a coin, a helmet, Pegasus and Zeus. Padding out the reels are the playing card suits.
Zeus is a wild symbol and can take up an entire reel in the base game. That really boosts your chances of getting some winning combinations. In addition, there’s a temple which is the standard wild in this game. The scatter symbol is Zeus’ hand as he clutches a lightning bolt which isn’t really recommended unless you do happen to be a Greek god.
With the different look of the reels it’s an even better idea to have a good look through the paytable and the rules of the game. Also make sure you have some free games so that you can get fully used to just how this game operates.
Using the control buttons doesn’t create any problems though. You can set an autoplay feature in two different ways. There’s the button in the bottom left hand corner that keeps the automated spins going until you press the button again to stop them. In the top right hand corner there’s the options button that allows you to set a more precise setting, for example stopping after a big win you really want to keep.
